Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida feeds hungry children every weekend of the school year.
@Anthem Church kicked off their annual #berich campaign this past Sunday. We are honored to be one of the local agencies that Anthem partners with to make an impact on our community. Over the years, Anthem and its members have donated thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of pounds of food to Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida to benefit local children. Our team had a fantastic time packing meals for Hunger Fight this past Saturday. In just under 2 hours, we packed 12 boxes of Cheezy Mac that will go to hungry children in our community this school year. It was so much fun to work side by side with members of the Junior League of Gainesville Florida to get the job done. Kudos to Michael, Clayton and the entire Hunger Fight team for an incredibly organized and FUN event. We can't wait for the next #hungerfightF#nomorehungrykidsyKids

During this final week of school in Alachua County, we are reflecting on the banner year of growth we have had. The Food4Kids Backpack Program would not be what it is without the incredibly selfless volunteers who drive our bags of food to each school every Thursday. Last week we were thrilled to be there to support one of our incredible volunteers, Dawn, as she was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award from HCA Healthcare North Florida. The Frist Humanitarian Award is the highest acheivement in serving others and goes to those who have demonstrated a level of commitment and care that goes beyond everyday acts of kindness and inspire others with their compassion, dedication, and spirit.
