During this final week of school in Alachua County, we are reflecting on the banner year of growth we have had. The Food4Kids Backpack Program would not be what it is without the incredibly selfless volunteers who drive our bags of food to each school every Thursday. Thank you to all of our drivers, the warehouse crew, and to Celebration United Methodist Church, Jonesville Baptist Church, Deeper Purpose Community Church, and Trinity United Methodist Church - Gainesville, FL for committing so much of your time to feeding our community's children! 💜🍎
Last week we were thrilled to be there to support one of our incredible volunteers, Dawn, as she was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award from HCA Healthcare North Florida. The Frist Humanitarian Award is the highest acheivement in serving others and goes to those who have demonstrated a level of commitment and care that goes beyond everyday acts of kindness and inspire others with their compassion, dedication, and spirit. We couldn't imagine a more deserving recipient than Dawn. Congratulations, Dawn! We love you! Please help us celebrate Dawn in the comments! <3
