Orange Bucket Sunday = huge success! Thanks to the members of North Central Baptist Church, over 1430 pounds of food were collected to feed hungry kids @ Hidden Oak!!
The local award is the latest phase of Fill the Plate, Morgan Stanley’s long standing partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger-relief charity. This grant will specifically launch Food4Kids at new schools and help reach more children in need of food over the weekends. Local Morgan Stanley employees brought out their family to help sort food and pack summer boxes for our children. They have continued to stay involved with Food4Kids and volunteers regularly to make a difference in our community and impact childhood hunger.
Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida is proud to give the University of Florida College of Medicine – Department of Pathology the award for 2014 Hunger Destroyer. The Department of Pathology brought in 280lbs of food to clinch the win! **QUADRUPLING** their 2013 win! Food4Kids would also like to thank everyone who helped contribute this year to the over 1 ton of food (2,273 pounds) collected at the event this year.
For the second year in a row, North Central Baptist Church hosted an “Orange Bucket” Food Drive with amazing results and participation from their members. This year 1,591 pounds of food was collected in almost 100 buckets of food!
Haile Jewelry and Loans’ 2nd Annual “Fill the Hummer” Food Drive generated 597 pounds of food, 3 backpacks, & 8 large tubs for our food storage needs. Enough food to feed ~85 children over a weekend! Thank you to Sheena & Clint Asbell and all the generous donors who participated!

Food4Kids received a prestigious award presented by Alachua County Public Schools, The Commissioner’s Business Recognition Award for 2013! We want to thank Alachua County Public Schools for this honor and partnership. This award is dedicated to all our volunteers, donors, and supporters…because of you, these students are being helped!
